Pagecord Premium pricing is changing on March 16th

The annual price for Pagecord Premium is increasing from $29 to $39 on March 16th. The monthly price stays at $4. The discounted price for India, Brazil and China also increases from $19 to $25/year.

As always, the Classic plan remains free forever.

No change for existing customers

If you're already a paying subscriber, your price isn't changing. Existing customers are grandfathered at the current rate for as long as the subscription is active.

Why up the price?

Pagecord roughly breaks even today, but there's pretty much zero profit. It's a labour of love project, and I've tried to offer it to customers at the lowest cost possible. That philosophy remains the same, but a few practical things have changed so I need to charge a bit more to keep it all sustainable.

Pagecord incorporated as a limited company recently which brings new accounting and other compliance costs. Hosting costs are also increasing – the AI gold rush means hiked prices for everyone in computerland. Pagecord is hosted with Hetzner in Germany who recently announced a price adjustment across the board. Further costs are coming down the line as I plan to beef up the servers, as well as additional costs for new spam detection services. You get the idea.

I'm thrifty-minded so I'm always on the lookout for ways to cut costs, but there's little body fat left to trim off Pagecord these days!

Still great value for money

While it will cost a bit more than it did a year ago, Pagecord is still cheaper than the competition and it has matured enormously in that time. Some features that shipped recently:

• Custom home pages with dynamic variables
• Multi-language support
• Dynamic Open Graph images

And there are lots of new features in the pipeline!
