Refer a friend, testimonials, and spreading the word
One of the hardest things (the hardest thing?) about running an online business is awareness. Getting the word out and finding new customers takes a combination of hard graft, good fortune, wiley ideas and a Snapesque mastery of marketing dark arts.
There’s also good old word of mouth. If people are talking about your product or recommending it in some way, people will actually listen! This never fails.
I thought I’d reach out to the few hundred readers of this blog, most of whom are customers, to see whether you’d be able to spread the word in some way – if you happen to have the time and the inclination, of course!
This could come in the form of a testimonial that I put on the home page, an honest blog post review of Pagecord (the good and the bad - that’s fine… and useful), or simply telling your mates or colleagues at work if you think they might be interested. These marketing efforts are marginal gains, but they can add up pretty quickly.
I don’t have any referral prizes to offer in return, although I do have a few on-brand stickers left over from a recent conference visit I could post out to you. Maybe official Pagecord merch could be a next step!
Ultimately, the best thing of all is to keep blogging. Every post you publish is a referral of sorts, so thank you for being here and helping to build a new, independent blogging community! 🙏
