What is the meaning of "pagecord"?

According to Typography Guru, page cord is:

String used for tying up a column or pages of letterpress type after making up. This is done to to secure the columns or pages temporarily until they are imposed or to store them (see standing matter).

I figured if "page cord" kept the printed words secure back in the day, it felt right to use pagecord.com for a place to secure our digital words in the modern world.
